Kiss the Bride and Groom
There are many Danish wedding traditions. One that occurs before the wedding vows is the construction of an arch made out of pine branches, called the “Gate of Honor”. The arch is placed in front of the bride’s home. Another tradition that occurs at the reception involves the groom disappearing for a while and then all the men at the reception kiss the bride. The role is then reversed and the bride leaves the room and all the girls kiss the groom.
