Doves Symbolize Love
In Armenian wedding traditions the bride wears a red silk wedding gown with a cardboard headpiece that is shaped into wings and covered with feathers. At the reception the couple enters via an arch formed by the bridesmaids and groomsmen who hold aloft flowers. A pair of doves are also released which symbolizes love and happiness. Guests of the wedding throw coins at the bride during the wedding reception.
